A Catered Christmas in the Alps: The Chalets We Can Book Now

Christmas in the mountains works best when the practical parts disappear. Breakfast is ready before the first lift, boots are warm, dinner happens at home, and nobody has to find a table for twelve on Christmas Eve. These are the eight catered chalets ZOMA is currently discussing for festive stays. Availability changes quickly, so we confirm dates and the exact service level before asking anyone to commit.

Verbier for groups who want choice

Verbier has four options in this selection, and they cover very different groups. Peter Pan is the largest, sleeping 12 adults and two children across six bedrooms. It is a stand-alone chalet over four floors with an indoor pool, hammam and cinema room. We have not reproduced its photography because the operator restricts image distribution, but the chalet remains available to discuss privately.

Chalet Bavaria also sleeps 10 adults and two children in six bedrooms. The house has wide valley views, a wood-burning fireplace and a spa with a sauna and hammam shower. It is the easiest Verbier choice for a mixed-age family that wants generous shared rooms without giving up quiet corners.

Smaller Verbier houses with proper wellness space

Vallon d’Arbi sleeps eight in four bedrooms. It sits above the village and pairs broad mountain views with an outdoor wooden hot tub, a cinema room and a lift between floors. For two families or a smaller group, it gives everyone enough room without the scale of a 14-person house.

Chalet Pierrier sleeps ten in five en-suite bedrooms. Its open living and dining floor leads to a south-facing terrace, while the lower level has an outdoor hot tub and a treatment room. It can also connect with neighbouring Chalet La Rochette for a larger party, subject to both houses being available.

Chalet Pierrier, Verbier

Pierrier is a good fit when the group wants to ski but also plans to spend real time at home. The living room, fireplace and terrace give the house a comfortable centre, rather than treating it simply as somewhere to sleep. We can arrange the catered service around children’s meals, restaurant nights and any evenings the group wants entirely to itself.

Zermatt with a Matterhorn view

Chalet Elbrus sits in central Zermatt, close to the station and a short walk from the Sunnegga funicular. It sleeps 10 adults and two children in five bedrooms across five floors. The top-floor living and dining room faces south-west towards the Matterhorn, which is the reason to choose this house over a quieter address farther out.

The chalet was renovated in 2022 and is part of the 7 Heavens group of houses. Guests have their own ski room and share access to the development’s gym. It suits a group that wants the privacy of a chalet without feeling removed from the village.

Lech for an old house with character

Chalet 1597 is the outlier in the best way. The original Lech building dates to 1597 and was restored with its old timber and stone details intact. It sleeps 10 adults and two children in five en-suite bedrooms, with a cinema room, sauna, massage room and an outdoor hot stone bath.

The memorable room is the stone cave and wine cellar, made for an aperitif before dinner. This is the chalet we would choose for guests who want history and atmosphere rather than a newly built interpretation of Alpine style.

Val d’Isère for serious ski days

Chalet Oly and Chalet Lascha are both in Le Fornet, the quieter hamlet at the eastern end of Val d’Isère. Oly sleeps eight adults and four children in five bedrooms. Its indoor pool, hammam, sauna, cinema and games room make it the stronger choice for a family week when not everyone will ski all day.

Lascha also sleeps eight adults and four children in five bedrooms. It is a short walk from the Le Fornet gondola and has an indoor pool, sauna, hammam and games room. Both houses keep the lifts close while avoiding the centre of town at its busiest.

Chalet Lascha, Val d’Isère

Lascha is practical in a way that matters at Christmas. The gondola is close, the village centre is a short drive away, and there is enough at the chalet for a slow afternoon when somebody skips skiing. We confirm the bedroom setup carefully because the eight adult and four child capacity works best for particular family combinations.

What ZOMA handles

A chalet booking starts with the group, not the property. We match the bedrooms to the adults and children, check the walk or drive to the lifts, confirm the chef service and food costs, and arrange transfers, ski school, equipment and restaurant nights. For Christmas, we also confirm what happens on arrival day and exactly what is planned for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The houses above came through a current partner update for guests still considering Christmas. That is a useful starting point, not a promise that every date remains open. Send us your dates, group size and preferred resort, and we will return with the live options.
